About This Release
This limited Super Deluxe Edition of The Who's seventh album, "The Who By Numbers" (1975), features the latest remaster along with more than 90 previously unreleased tracks and includes 5 SHM-CDs, 1 Blu-ray, and a 100-page hardcover book. CD 1 contains the original album remaster, CD 2 features Pete Townshend demos, CD 3 presents tracking sessions from Ramport and Shepperton Studios, CD 4 includes early mixes and guide vocals, and CD 5 contains Live at Vetch Field, Swansea (June 12, 1976). The Blu-ray includes new Pete Townshend mixes in Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, and PCM stereo, plus the complete previously unreleased live video performance from Metropolitan Stadium, Pontiac, Michigan (December 6, 1975), recorded during the band's final tour with Keith Moon. The 100-page hardcover book contains photos, memorabilia, and newly written commentary by Pete Townshend and Andy Neill, and this edition also includes Japanese translations of the English liner notes, lyrics, and Japanese lyric translations. The artwork and Blu-ray are imported, and only the Japanese edition uses SHM-CD.
