Orville Peck - Stampede - Warner Records
Critically acclaimed, Orville Peck has long dreamed of making Stampede, a duets album with singers, songwriters, and fellow musicians he’s long admired. And now, music icons, rebels and newcomers join hand-in-hand with Orville on his third full-length body of work to help create a two-part record that tips its hat to music’s past, present, and future. Orville just released the first part to this project Stampede: Vol.1 on 5/10 with duets such as Willie Nelson, Midland, Elton John, Allison Russell, Noah Cyrus, Bu Cuaron and Nathaniel Rateliff. Slant Magazine describes Volume 1 as "a reflection of both the singer’s dedication to the genre and his desire not to be confined by it."
In The Lonely Hour - (10th Anniversary Edition) - Capitol Records
GRAMMY, BRIT, Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning artist Sam Smith marks a decade of their multi-platinum debut, In the Lonely Hour. Released in 2014, In the Lonely Hour was the first of many incredible milestones and successes that Sam would achieve over the course of their standout career. The GRAMMY Award-winning, now 6x RIAA platinum-certified album became the biggest selling debut album of the decade, leading to Sam being awarded a Guinness World Record for holding the most number of consecutive weeks in the UK Top 10 Album Chart in the 2010s. The 10-track project includes UK Number 1’s “Money On My Mind” and “Stay With Me,” which saw Sam’s debut in the Billboard Hot 100. Other hits on the album are “I’m Not The Only One,” “Like I Can” and “Lay Me Down.”
Bobby Hutcherson - Medina (Blue Note Tone Poet Series) - Blue Note Records
The late-1960s and early-1970s were a wildly creative period for Bobby Hutcherson with the vibraphonist freely exploring a wide range of stylistic possibilities from post-bop and the avant-garde to fusion and Latin Jazz. The cutting-edge 1969 session Medina—which wouldn’t be first released until 1980 as part of the LT Series—documented one of Hutcherson’s most remarkable band line-ups featuring two of his frequent collaborators—Harold Land on tenor saxophone and flute and Joe Chambers on drums—along with Stanley Cowell on piano and Reggie Johnson on bass. The set presented a pair of original compositions each by Hutcherson, Cowell, and Chambers that explored a variety of moods from the churning rhythms of “Avis” and “Medina” to the more atmospheric realms of “Comes Spring” and “Orientale.”
Lee Morgan - Taru (Blue Note Tone Poet Series) - Blue Note Records
Lee Morgan’s 1968 album Taru—which wouldn’t be first released until 1980 as part of the LT Series—found the trumpeter at a crossroads exploring a variety of styles. The band on this outstanding date is notable for several reasons including the elevating presence of guitarist George Benson who delivers inspired solos throughout. The session also marked Morgan’s first recorded collaboration with tenor saxophonist Bennie Maupin who would play an integral role on future Morgan albums including Caramba! and Live at the Lighthouse. Rounding out the sextet were pianist John Hicks, bassist Reggie Workman, and the ever-inspiriting drummer Billy Higgins. The six-song set covered a range of stylistic ground including modal jazz (“Avotcja One”), hard-charging post-bop (“Get Yourself Together”), beautiful balladry (“Haeschen” and “Taru, What’s Wrong With You?”), gospel-tinged numbers (“Dee Lawd”), and funky boogaloos (“Durem”).

Leavin’ This Holler is a soulful anthem of liberation and renewal. Packed with their signature sound of rollicking country and searing rock, the album narrates a journey of breaking free from the chains of the past to pursue happiness and freedom. With a resolute spirit and a clean washed heart, 49 Winchester embraces change and sets out on a quest for new heights.
Peck has long dreamed of a duets album with singers, songwriters, and fellow musicians he’s admired. Featuring Willie Nelson, Elton John, Margo Price, Beck, Allison Russell and more.
Being great is one thing, but staying great for a long time is another. X has been great for forty-seven years, building their legend as one of America’s most original punk bands with seven albums between 1980 and 1993. This summer, their final album, Smoke & Fiction, will be released alongside multiple national tours.
A genre-bending work that is at once a musical experience, a church service, a celebration, a testimonial, and a call to action. No More Water features frequent collaborators Justin Hicks, Kenita Miller, Abe Rounds, Jake Sherman, Jebin Bruni, and Julius Rodriguez, as well as powerful spoken word performances by Jamaican poet and activist Staceyann Chin.
In the Lonely Hour was the first of many incredible milestones and successes that Sam would achieve over the course of their standout career. The anniversary edition includes new track, “Little Sailor,” while a collector’s edition on four LPs and two CDs, features live versions and appearances by Mary J. Blige, A$AP Rocky and John Legend.
Grim Iconic weds scouring electronics to hooky songs and Gallego's powerful drumming in a way that feels visceral and new. It’s playful and intent, driven and combustible, total fucking chaos mixed into glints of broken-glass beauty. it'll leave you breathless, exhausted, and wanting to repeat it all over again. As any good mantra should.
With their debut LP The Future Is Our Way Out the Chicago-based 5 piece share a body of work that spans genres and eras, merging the lavish romanticism of mid-century pop with the frenetic energy and spiky intensity of early-millennium indie, all centered on singer Wes Leavins’ hypnotically crooning vocal work.

Wild Rivers - Never Better - Nettwerk
We had a conversation recently where we realized that we've been a band for almost 10 years. When we started Wild Rivers way back when, we had never played a real concert before. When we made our first record it was our first time stepping into a real studio. We barely even knew each other when we started this band. Since then we've played a thousand shows, recorded over 30 songs, and become a family. When we set out to record 'Never Better', we felt like we were at a new stage of the band. By that point, we'd put in the hours and all began to feel totally self assured in what we were about to do. We wanted to bring everything we've learned over the years and all that we've been through as a group to the project. We chose to trust our guts and move quickly and confidently in every decision, second guessing ourselves as little as possible. In having this mindset, we were able to completely let loose and go deeper into the process, finding new ways of recording live, swapping instruments, and turning these songs on their heads. We couldn't have made this record a few years ago.We approached this record with the mindset, 'this is who we are'. We aren't pretending to be something we're not, or trying to sound like anyone else. We wanted it to feel easy. We wanted the stories to be real. We wanted to show our true selves as best we could. We're proud of who we've become as people and as a team. We truly feel like we're having the most fun with music that we've ever had, and in the most exciting stage of our lives. We're never better.

Louis Armstrong - Louis In London - Verve
Louis Armstrong made a greater impact on American popular music than any other single artist before or since. "What A Wonderful World" became his biggest commercial success, first in the UK and decades later in the rest of the world. Armstrong traveled to England to celebrate this unexpected hit and gave his last great performance, which found him looking back at his entire musical career. That performance, recorded at BBC studios, was miraculously captured in high fidelity audio and video, and we are proud to release this collection for the first time.
Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else - Blue Note Records
Is that what you wanted, Alfred we hear in Miles Davis unmistakable rasp at the end of One for Daddy-O, making it clear that the legendary trumpeter was not just playing the role of sideman on Somethin' Else. The alto saxophonist was a member of Davis' band at the time, and the depth of their musical camaraderie lifts this session up to rarefied heights throughout. Pianist Hank Jones, bassist Sam Jones, and drummer Art Blakey round out the quintet on this timeless classic. Indie Exclusive LP on 180g blue vinyl. Limited Edition.
Lee Morgan - The Sidewinder - Blue Note Records
Released in 1964, Lee Morgan's magnum opus, The Sidewinder, was both a comeback and a coronation. The prodigious trumpeter debuted on Blue Note in 1956 at the age of 18, but personal problems in the early '60s forced him off the scene. His rebound turned out to be The Sidewinder, featuring tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson, pianist Barry Harris, bassist Bob Cranshaw, and drummer Billy Higgins. The album became his most significant commercial success, fueled by the irrepressible title track. Indie Exclusive LP on 180g blue vinyl. Limited Edition.
